I am definitely going to miss my aunty Merle, she was always a loving and welcoming person, which also made her well loved by my siblings Kurt and Keisha and my mother Joan. She always made sure we were good and well taken care of whenever we travelled to Canada as kids. Aunty Merle, you are truly a gem and an angel. God Bless and we love u always and forever.

My heart, thoughts and prayers are with my family in this moment of our loss. She is so dearly missed by all.
My fondest memories of my Aunty Merle is her bright and infectious smiles, but especially her wonderful, warm voice when she called daddy and I in St. Croix. She was such a welcoming person. Truly amazing.
My impressions of her have been of a strong, accomplished woman with a quiet charm. I always admired her very stylish looks. Our running joke in my teens and 20's was I wasn't keeping up the Quammie women's fashionable tradition because I just wore sneakers and jeans everywhere. She set about fixing that by taking me shopping and getting a fabulous dress that I wore just about everywhere. That day still makes me laugh.

Auntie Merle was my mom’s youngest sister and the one who taught me how to dance (get on bad for the Caribbean people). She always knew all the latest Soca tunes and had the best summer BBQs of my childhood. She made sure that I always had the best food when I went away to university. She would make individual rotis, freeze them and deliver them all the way to Windsor. She had a laugh that would light up a room and could always brighten your mood. We will miss you but never will forget you. Heather
