Suddenly and peacefully, at home, on November 4, 2023. Melissa Anne Feige (nee Porter), beloved mother of Amanda and Cameron, cherished stepdaughter of Debra Porter (Bill Baker). Predeceased by her father James Porter and her mother Carole Porter. Deeply missed by the members of her extended family the Jarmans, Palmers, and Ferrons, and by her dear friends Brian, Fran, Maria, Maggie, and the residents of Sandy Cove Acres community in Innisfil, Ontario, a place where Melissa has happily called home for the past 3 years.
Amanda, Cameron, and Debra want to thank everyone for their love and support and reaching out to them at this difficult time.
Melissa is in the care of Thornton Funeral Centre, 1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, Ontario. The Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday November 11th. Visitation is scheduled to begin at 12:00pm, the celebration of life ceremony at 1:30pm. A reception in the hall will take place immediately after the ceremony. We ask that as we celebrate a colourful person, that you wear colour to honour her. A private interment of Melissa's ashes will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to The Arthritis Society or Halton Women's Place in Melissa's memory. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
