In memory of

Melissa Marie Monteagudo

October 26, 1980 -  May 26, 2018

We are saddened to share the news of Melissa's passing Saturday May 26th. Following the successful birth of twins a week prior, Melissa fell victim to a rare disorder than can happen after childbirth. Melissa leaves behind her loving husband Richie, her daughter Malaya and healthy one week old twins Ellie and Finn. As a family we are all grieving her sudden loss.

Melissa beamed with love for her family near and far, her friends and her work. She would brag about her children, niece and nephew or cousins any chance she could get. If you ever had the chance to sit beside her, her stories always ended up highlighting how awesome and amazing someone else was. Melissa's positivity was contagious. Her love just seemed to grow through out the years with each milestone from meeting Richie to welcoming Malaya, great family milestones including the arrival of her niece and nephew and most recently the two new additions.

At this difficult time we each cherish the memories we made with Melissa and hope to pass on the love and compassion she shared with us.

Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Thursday May 31st at Meadowvale Cemetery. The funeral will begin at 3 p.m with a reception to follow. See the link below for further details.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that a donation is made to a special fund that will support the care of the children in the upcoming weeks and months, particularly caring for the twins. You can make a donation by clicking on the 'DONATIONS' tab at the top of the page.

"Those we love don't go away,
they walk beside us everyday...
unseen, unheard, but always near,
still loved, still missed and very dear."
