In memory of

Meghan Doris Crook

October 12, 1989 -  February 2, 2021

The world lost a great one too soon but heaven has gained an unforgettable soul. Meghan passed away peacefully with her mother Sharon and Big Sister Donna by her side on February 2nd, 2021. Known by many as a protector, confidant, daughter, best friend, sister and aunt, Meghan will be dearly missed by all.

With her effortless ability to touch so many people's lives throughout her years of service as a York Regional Police Officer and her involvement with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peel, it is a true testament to the life Meghan lived and all of the good she did for this world.

She will be greatly missed by her fellow colleagues of York Regional Police, whom she considered family. She will be remembered not only for her contagious smile and positive attitude but for her undeniable commitment to her service and making this world a better place through her work.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peel played an important role in Meghan’s life. From a young age when she first met her Big Sister Donna who was a constant support to Meghan and helped guide her throughout her life, which in turn encouraged Meghan to become a Big Sister and provide the same opportunities she was given to other youth in the community. The legacy and impact that Meghan has created by dedicating her life to giving back will continue on in her honour.

Meghan will be dearly missed by her mother Sharon, sister Larene, niece Cattleya, her pup Dierks, her extended family and closest friends. She will never be forgotten and her life will be forever remembered because of her genuine heart, her beautiful smile and the impact she has had on all of us.

Just no words can express the loss of Meghan. She would light up the whole office when she reported for duty. She always had time to chat and say so many nice things in such a short time. The sticky notes she stuck on my desk with love messages for me when I came in for shift on days which are still there now! Miss you and love you forever!

I met Meghan in 2015 in basic training. She was my podmate, and quickly became a very great friend. We bonded through similar life experiences, and it was so very clear from the moment I met her just how special she was, and how passionate she was about becoming a police officer. She worked hard and motivated me to do the same. It was no surprise that she excelled in her position, like she did in most other things in life. She had one of the greatest beaming smiles, and was always so much fun to be around. She had a lasting impact on my life, like I'm sure she did with so many others, and we stayed friends over the years. My deepest sympathies go out to her family, friends, and colleagues. Rest in peace dear sweet Meghan, this world will not be same without you.

This tragic passing of our Meghan has devastated her family and so many friends but has also effected her Brothers and Sisters within the Vaughan Police Force.
Her smile was always welcomed as she protected her community but her enthusiasm to help others, continued as she volunteered to help so many.
Our family fell in love with Meghan the moment we met her. Her ability to smile in any occasion and to always have a ear to just listen.
Meghan is the soul Sister to our Jacqueline. There are no words to explain the love, respect these two young ladies had with each other but even in death, their relationship will remain strong for all eternity.
I will always smile for our Meghan as I hear the gentle waves kiss the shores of Georgian Bay and remember all the warm days we sat on our beach and end our days with the stunning sunsets. Your love for Deanlea will r
