It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Goritz McLaren, age 86 on April 16, 2024.
He was the son of Emanuel and Victoria McLaren. Brother of Jasmin, Teresa, Anastasia, Mervin, Cleveland, and Gregory (Vaughan). Father of Patricia, Harvey, Noel, Demitre and Marcus.
Grandfather of Akin, Paula, Oni, Emmanuel, Crystal and Ben.
Uncle to Twelve Nieces and Nephews
Beloved Father in Law to Pat
Friend of Wayne Fernando and Lita Smith.

Goritz was a skilled craftsman who loved working on projects, whether they be construction related or mechanical in nature. An avid reader with a love for poetry and a constant thirst for knowledge.

He was a very humble, selfless individual who always put his family first and will forever be remembered for his kind, caring and generous nature.

A small private Celebration of life ceremony will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, Thornton Funeral Centre (1200 Thornton Road N, Oshawa, Ontario).
