In memory of

Mary Theresa Wylie

June 25, 1955 -  January 26, 2021

Wylie, Mary Theresa
June 25, 1955-January 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary at her home in Toronto on January 26, 2021 after a long battle she fought to the end with such a positive attitude and so much determination and strength. She was the 8th child of 14. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
She is survived by her husband Don, her daughter Amanda and her " Miracle" grandson Landyn Journey. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters; Danny ( Heather), Betty (Pierre) Sylvestre, Nioma ( Ron) Howitt, Malcom ( Trini), Lois ( Lee) Flanagan, Janice, Doreen ( Darrell) Cyr, Andy (Maureen) and Clay, her sister in law Margie, as well as many nieces and nephews whom she treated liker her own children.
Predeceased by her Mom ( Ruth), her Dad ( Mack), her brothers Gary, Allen, Frank and her sister Fran.
Mary was born in Rexton, NB and after living in various parts of B.C, NB, ON and AB, she finally settled in Toronto to be closer to her daughter and grandson.
After a long roller coaster ride battling her medical conditions, she took her last breath. Mary was a Warrior, never complained or looked for pity . In the midst of her illness, she remained selfless and continued to put the needs of others above her own. Yep that was MARY!! She had a dazzling personality with a humour that made for lots of laughs with her family, friends, doctors, nurses and PSWs. She was a proud mother. She went above and beyond for her daughter and absolutely adored her "Miracle" grandson Landyn Journey. In the peak of her pain she would always respond to him, he definitely gave her that continued drive to battle through the adversities that kept coming her way. Mary was one of a kind, gone too soon. She has so much to continue to share and offer in the world. She will for ever be in our hearts. Mary had a heart of gold and always had time and patience for everyone. She made friends very easily and treated everyone equally. Her love, warmth and generosity will be so greatly missed by all those that had the pleasure of knowing her. She called Doreen her Angel. Doreen, know that mom is looking over you as your Angel now.
Mary was cremated on February 2nd. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

Mom
Missing you...
Your tenderness and loving ways
Still get me through my lonely days
The picture carries in my mind
With love that stands the test of time
You helped me find my walking shoes
And taught me lessons I still use
Each time I think of you I smile
I know I'll see you
After while...
