It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Mary Flaccavento, on August 4, 2021, at the age of 68. She was a cherished sister, aunt and friend to so many. Mary’s life was one centered on family, always there for her mother, father and uncle with care and compassion throughout their lives. Her sense of humour and storytelling will be missed. Her nieces will remember her always as warm, loving, and, when they were young, she was very patient – putting up with multiple songs, ‘talent’ shows, and beauty parlour games. Her warmth continued on to animals and her love of cats, including those from rescues that may not have otherwise found a home. In memory of Mary, donations to the Toronto Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
