1933-2022
Passed away peacefully into the Arms of Jesus on April 28, 2022 at the age of 88 .Through God’s “ special anointing “of the Holy Spirit, Reverend Peter Holmes prayed Mary into Heaven in the ICU at Toronto General Hospital.
Predeceased by her beloved mother, Mary Glenny , father, Alfred Barnard Harris, brother Glenn.
Mary is survived by her niece , Susan Walker ( husband Don) , children, Troy, , Jeremy, Amy (Craig) of Calgary, Alberta , Canada.
Mary will be sadly missed by a large circle of friends from Eaton Memorial Trident Club and The Yorkminster Park Tuesday class with Teacher, Carol Belford in the Friendship Room every Tuesday for the past 20 years.
Pastor Peter had the awesome idea to honour Mary’s dedication to the Bible and Prayer class by having her Memorial on a Tuesday after Victoria Day weekend, May 24, 2022 shortly after the class at 1:30 pm.at Yorkminster Park Church.
Mary’s vivaciously infectious zest for life will stay with us forever. The Richmond Hill Golf Club will surely miss Mary especially Joelle, Mike and Doug,as she had a passion for Golf and all things Golf.
Her many years at Toronto City Hall with Social Services left her lasting mark there as well. Her close Friend Roslyn Oslender and her mom Tilly were among her many friends. Tilly Oslender lived to be 112 years old which I am sure Mary had much to do to keep her living as long as she did.
Though her very productive Life , Mary volunteered at her Church , Yorkminster Park near Yonge and St. Clair
in the front foyer, delivered flowers through her car and
helped at church “ Coffee Time”.
Mary was the social leader for her pals at the Tuesday group in the Friendship Room . Mary organized many get togetherness.
Her many friends , too many to mention here, like B.Pickett, B. Jansen ,Marcia and Sheena were always included in her thoughts and prayers!
Mary had a love for pets like dogs like Zander ,cats like Charlie in her neighborhood . Selfless Mary embraced life to the
fullest , always planning always trusting Jesus in her every day life!
Rest in perfect Peace sweet lady of kindness and Soul!
