Marvin C. Hardebeck

October 14, 1933 -  March 19, 2023

Marvin Charles Hardebeck, 89 years old, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 19th, 2023, at their home with his beloved wife at his side.
Marvin was born on October 14th, 1933, in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Ralph H. Hardebeck and Isabelle T. Symanski. Marvin was the third of four children- Gerald, Roger, and Diane.
Marvin attended Central High School in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He served in United States Air Force. After his honest and faithful service in the Air Force, Marvin pursued and graduated in Aquinas College, Michigan, with a B.A. degree in History, Economics.
His first marriage was to Lydia and had four children- Kurt, Karen, Linda, and Gary. His entire career of 34 years was with the United States, Department of State. In his position, Marvin travelled extensively. He was assigned at the U.S. Consulate in Toronto in 1986, where he met his second wife, Cynthia Malinis, and they married in 1988. Marvin was an avid hiker and enjoyed the outdoors- biking and canoeing. Both loved hiking and walking in their travels together.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia of Scarborough, daughter, Karen of Scarborough, and brother, Gerald, wife Lorraine and their daughters Michelle and Elyse of Grand Rapids, and dear friends.
Viewing and Catholic service is scheduled on Monday, March 27, 2023, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Pine Hills Cemetery.
