PRISKE (nee Davidson), Marlene Diane, of Oshawa, Ontario passed away peacefully at the age of 86 on Monday, August 24th, 2026 at Station Place Nursing Home, Havlock, Ontario. Born in Ashern, Manitoba on January 7th,1940, Marlene was the daughter of the late Henry and Aurora Davidson of Ashern, Manitoba

Marlene loved doing crafts of all kinds including crochet and modge podge. She was an avid gardener and golf enthusiast. She loved cats, birds and other animals, which she could often be seen feeding or petting. Marlene had a positive outlook on lif and was quick to tell people that she loved them. Marlene could brighten a room and everyone in it. She worked as a switchboard operator in her younger life where she met her husband-to-be Sullivan Michael Priske (deceased). She later worked at the Ashern Hospital in the maternity ward and then as a bank teller with Guaranteed Trust and Toronto Dominion banks. She devoted many of her years to raising three children to adulthood and supporting her beloved husband.

Marlene was predeceased by her husband Sullivan (Mike) in 1990. After being widowed, Marlene reconnected with her school mate Harvard Johnson, with whom she spent twenty-two years before he was taken by cancer in 2009 . Marlene is survived by her son Shawn Micheal Priske, Oshawa, Ontario and two daughters: Diana Lynn Bereck (Priske) Quebrada Grande, Costa Rica; and Sheryl Dawn Priske, McBride, British Columbia. Her brother Linden Davidson and his wife Janet still live in Ashern, Manitoba.. Marlene leaves behind six grandchildren: Cameron, Seth, Gillian, Joshua, Tierah and Sianna, as well as great grandchildren: Hayden, Jaycee, Everly-Ann, Tegan, Esemae, Maeve, Frankie, Grayson and Forrest.
