We are so sad that Markus passed. He lived a wonderful life and leaves behind a rich legacy. May all your memories bring you peace during this difficult time. Sending all our love, Kendra, Brian, Alma, Ethan and Brett
Our paths crossed through our children many years ago and we are very fortunate to have met this loving family. Markus, of course, being the captain of his ship, always had an open door policy and offered unconditional support to his family and friends. Markus loved to entertain with his beautiful Eha and they were good at it. He had a comedic personality that he passed on to Eha and all his children, with that infectious smile that always brightened his face and ours. He truly was a force and he most definitely leaves a legacy behind with all the humanitarian work he believed in. People were Markus’s treasures. He nurtured all his relationships. He was so interested in where you came from and how you ended up here. History was a big part of conversations. He was an enthusiast and the one that started everything for others to take up.
We are so blessed and will never forget all our fun and interesting dinner parties and outings, and the best political conversations always ending with smiles, laughter and another glass of wine. Eha, Jaan, Laas, Leikki and Maiki, we pray for your heavy hearts . He was a pillar to the Estonian community, a fun, remarkable father and a loving partner to his wife Eha.
We are so saddened and heartbroken and send you hugs and all our love, Jack, Mary, Athan and Amber, Lindsay, Julianne and Adam.
