We are deeply touched by loosing our friend Marko so early as a victim to a long and difficult battle with the illness that took him away from his loving wife, children, grandchildren and other close family and friends. His optimism, stamina, love for family, friends, music, good entertainment and fun will stay in our memory forever as Marko would liked to be remembered!

Zoran and Jadranka would like to extend our deepest condolences to Marko's family and regret that we will not be able to attend the memorial since we are away in Western Canada at this time.

My deepest condolences to Ljiljana and family. Marko spoke highly of everyone here at Aiolos, but everyone here at Aiolos also speaks highly of Marko; he will be sorely missed. I have spent many years working with Marko -- including the full summer of 2005 (5 months) at the Hyundai site for the SCWT. I remember our daily morning walks from 6:30 - 7:00 AM before having breakfast at the hotel. Marko had me in great shape by the end of the summer. And his competency at his work was admirable. I wish all close ones the very best during these trying times.

Dearest Ljiljana, and family,

You have lost a great man - Marko - and yes, long before his time. Let us grieve with you, we, too, have lost a friend, and trustworthy colleague; though we suffer not the same anguish as you. God be with you.

Over the next few days you will hear again and again one word that describes Marko well: a gentleman. Marko had a kind heart, as you know, and always had time for others. He had an ever-ready listening ear, with something encouraging to say.

Marko was selfless and caring; I never heard him raise his voice or speak with offense. From my earliest days at Aiolos (1997) through to Marko's silent struggles this Summer, I don't remember a complaint uttered from his lips. He was always positive. Even the rare, legitimate positive criticism was shared justly and respectfully, meant to build up. Marko had a rare strength, to be desired by all.

Marko left an early good impression with me regarding his practical way of thinking, and expressing himself. He was one of the last great story-tellers. And he left multiple testimonies of generosity on behalf of you both.

Lisa and I were touched to share dinner at your place this past Christmas season. We will long cherish that memory. It is another good one.

In closing, for now, Marko was a great teacher. He taught others how to develop their technical skills, how to think practically, and how to apply common sense to everything. Through it all, is his way, he taught the love that will not fail. He will be remembered.

Sincerely,
Ralph and Lisa Leitner

Bind in closest links our kindred
Teach the love that will not fail,
May the loathed fiend of discord
Never in our ranks prevail.

Сложи српску браћу драгу
на свак дичан славан рад,
слога биће пораз врагу
а најјачи српству град.
