Markham Alfred John Herbert

August 8, 1936 -  June 21, 2023


It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of a great man Alfred John Herbert Markham. Fred passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 21 2023 with his family by his side .
He is survived by his loving wife Lillian and his children Robert (Mhay), Sharon (John) and his sister Helen.
Fred is predeceased by his son David and his siblings Jack and Margaret.
He will be sadly missed by his 6 grandchildren Jonathan, Samantha, Jennifer, Rebecca, Christopher, Brooke and his two great grandchildren Malcolm and Cordelia.
Fred was a kind wonderful man who was loved by all and his presence will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends .

Dear Lilly, Sharon& Rob,
Our condolences for your dear Dad, he was such a good man. We remember all the good times our families had together Travelling to Florida, Summer time fun in the Markhams backyard pool, and a whole lot more. My mom Sophie would also have been so sorry to hear about him passing, now they will see each other in Heaven.
My Dad Peter reminisces about growing up with Fred on Fennings St. off of Queen St. everytime we drive downtown especially.
We will miss him very much. We will pray for Lilly to get through this tough time.

It is with deepest sympathies that Barb and I feel at this sad occasion. Fred was a lifelong friend from Fennings Street in Toronto. It was always a pleasure to meet with Fred and Lillian at different occasions. He will be sadly missed.

Our strongest and most heartfelt condolences to Rob Sharon and dear Mom Lillian-so sorry to hear the news of losing your loving Dad and the wonderful husband that he was to Mom.I will never forget Fred and Dave coming to my parents visitation-It was really so joyful to see them at the time of our loss. Now they are together again and may you all hold the memories of them very close to you -and treasure the irreplaceable years that you all have together.
Fred was one of the good dads from our Charnleigh Crt days-and that I will never forget! -Thank you Fred for your kindness and for being the gentleman that you were.
