In memory of

Marjorie Radford

January 26, 1923 -  November 14, 2019

After a long and full life, Marjorie Florence Radford (nee Ball/Hobart-Bull) peacefully passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2019. Born on the kitchen floor of a house on Christie Street on January 26, 1923, Marjorie was blessed with the gift of gab from an early age and always took the time to turn a stranger into a new friend. It was a skill she put to great use over her many years as a receptionist at the Toronto Institute of Medical Technology. After she retired she learned the joy of travel - from a cruise to Alaska to a bus trip with friends to Woodbine Racetrack where she would take in the thrill of the horses. Music was always a huge part of her life, be it in the church, her years in The Beavers, or softly singing a hymn around her home. She will be forever missed by her daughter Arlene, her granddaughter Christine and all those who loved her. But there is solace knowing she has been reunited with her husband Doug, her daughter Dorothy, her sister Margaret and her mother Mary. A special thank you to the staff at West Park for their help and care in Marjorie’s last year. A celebration of her life will take place at Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre on Monday, November 18, 2019 at 11 a.m.

Arlene and Chris...know I am there with you I n my thoughts as you celebrate Marjorie's life. The distance is a little much this time of year, and I can hear Marjorie say 'safety first'. Sending love and hugs and we will talk soon.

I first met Marjorie at the Toronto Institute of Medical Technology, now the Michener Institute, and many years later our paths crossed again at the Beaver Show. We had some good times together along with other friends from the good old days. My condolences to Arlene and family.
