Marius Badescu 67, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, April 15, 2022, after a long battle with colon cancer. His wife, Catinca and his daughter, Bianca were by his side at the time of death (11 am).

Marius was born on July 25, 1954, to Stefan and Livia Ana Maria in Sighetu Marmatiei, Maramures, Romania. He was the first born son to the couple.

He married his wife Catinca in 1980 and in 1984, he was blessed with his daughter, Bianca.

After graduating from University, Faculty of Zootechnology, he worked as an Zootechnology Engineer at SEMTEST in Baia Mare, Maramures, Romania where he dedicated his knowledge for research to improve the production of meat and milk for 12 long years.
He came to Canada in 1990 followed by his wife and daughter in 1993. Since then, he made a living here by working at the Royal York Hotel in Toronto and a second career as a superintendent.

We have indeed lost an amazing soul, someone who understood us more than we understand ourselves, someone who cared for us deeply who showed it through his actions and not through empty words. He was a man with an incredible sense of humor who lived every experience deeply and with a joy for life. As a family we feel immense pain knowing that we will not be able to build more memories with him, but we find comfort in all of the amazing memories we have built together.

Marius is survived by his loving wife, Catinca; along with his daughter, Bianca; his brother, Costi; his mother, Livia; and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
