With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for her life, we announce the passing of Marilyn Larios de la Rosa, a beloved mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, and friend. Marilyn left this world on April 11th, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and joy that will continue to live on in all who knew her.

She is survived by her devoted and loving sons, Mark and Ryan Lorenzana, her cherished granddaughter, Rachel Lorenzana, and her daughter-in-law, Daphne Lorenzana.

Marilyn was a woman of unwavering faith—a God-fearing soul whose life was anchored in love, devotion, and service. Her personality was infectious, lighting up every room she entered. Whether through a heartfelt story, a moment of quiet listening, or belting out a favourite karaoke song, she had a unique way of making people feel seen, heard, and deeply loved.

She was a storyteller, a great listener, a woman who wore her heart on her sleeve, and lived with sincerity and joy. Her faithfulness, warmth, and joyful spirit made her a blessing to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Though she is no longer with us physically, Marilyn’s legacy lives on—in every song sung, every memory shared, and every act of love inspired by her beautiful life.

She was loved by all. And she will be missed deeply.

Hi Tita,

Even though I only knew you for a short time when I was still in Ontario, you welcomed me with such warmth, as if I were your own daughter. You never missed greeting me on special occasions, and your sweet messages about how cute my kids are always made me smile. I’m grateful for the conversations we shared, even about your heart failure journey — you showed such strength and grace. You will be deeply missed, Tita. Thank you for the love and kindness you so freely gave.

Love,
Gita

Auntie, you are a perfect example of a strong woman not just mentally but spiritually.
You have the faith of a Christian soldier.
