In memory of

Marilyn Gail Aman

July 15, 1939 -  November 24, 2020

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Marilyn Gail Aman. Gail passed away peacefully at 81 years of age, at Scarborough Grace hospital after being diagnosed with lung cancer. She was a devoted wife of 60 years to husband Gordon Aman, a loving aunt to Sharon Batke (predeceased), Lynne Troy, Tommy Delaney (predeceased), Tina Cooke (Bob), and great aunt to Hal Batke, Lisa Batke, Kenneth Cooke and Mystie-Lyn Sartain. Gail’s legacy was that of a great-great-aunt. She loved animals and adored her Budgie and Poodle Beegee. Gail spent 36 years working at Sears Canada before retiring. She will always be remembered for her witty sense of humour. Gail will be dearly missed by her many longtime friends in the community. A memorial service will be held at Pine Hills Cemetery at a later date.

I always enjoyed my conversations with Gail with her wicked sense of humour. In the past couple of months she commissioned me to be her hairdresser and we enjoyed talking and joking together in her kitchen as I sniped at her lovely white hair. I wish we had had more “cutting” time together. Rest In Peace my friend.

I had the pleasure of working with Gail along with my team members at Sears Canada for a number of years. We always appreciated Gail's expertise in dealing with customs issues to help clear our overseas shipments and in doing so to experience her great sense of humor.
When we found out Gail was retiring we organized a surprise lunch for her at Sears Kenmore and shared many recollections throughout our years at Sears.
Gail will be truly missed and will live on in our memories as a fantastic person.

Sincerely, Michael Sysko
