FINLEY, Marilyn Lynn
Marilyn passed away at her home unexpectedly on September 30, 2024 at the age of 70. Loving Mother of Jason (Sommer), Ryan (Mackenzie) and adored Grammy of Ryleigh, Charlotte, Owen and Avery. She will be dearly missed by her brother Terry, her many nieces and nephews and her dear friend Susan. Marilyn will be best remembered for her love of family, her quick wit, funny personality, her love of Pepsi and always being someone you could talk to and was there when you needed. Ryan would like to give a special thanks to Jason for taking care of Marilyn over the last few years when she was not able to on her own. As per her own wishes, no formal funeral will be held, arrangements entrusted to THORNTON CEMETERY & FUNERAL CENTRE, 1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, (South of Taunton Road and off of Dryden Blvd, 905-579-6787).

I have not seen Marilyn for a long time but remember that she was always a quiet, sweet, funny lady and loved her family so much. R.I.P.

Marilyn was such an amazingly kind woman, always rushing about until the pandemic and then being unwell. We shared a love of books, and mints etc but Marilyn always spoke of her love for her 2sons Ryan and Jason and her grandchildren...family was everything. I shall miss her deeply and keep her in my heart ❤️

I only had the pleasure of knowing Marilyn for what was just too short a time for someone of her caliber. She was so kind, so honest, so compassionate you could see it in her eyes. And Marilyn was hilarious. It seemed to come natural that she could fill the entire room I was in with laughter with her razor sharp wit and original and subtle comebacks. Marilyn is gone now, and we are left to thank her through knowing her two remarkable sons who are packed tight with the exemplary values she instilled in them. Not just for their benefit. But for all of us who know them.
Peace Marilyn.
