BERTRAND, Marilyn Harriet

Passed away peacefully at Hillsdale Terraces on September 29, 2022 at the age of 87. Predeceased by her loving husband Robert Francis (2002). Adored mother of Bonnie (Paul), Sandra (deceased), Wendy (Heather), Gordon (Anne), Kelly (Lynda), Daniel (Linda) and Judy (Gary).Cherished grandmother of Lisa (Chris), Steven, Mary, Nicole, Gregory (Chelsey), Katie (Mike), Julie (Kyle), Melissa (Pat), Rob (Jennifer), Sarah (Jason) and great grandmother of Peyton, Gavin, Hailey, Jackson, Thomas, Tucker, Annabelle, Ella, Rory, Adam, Grace, Emilia, Avery, Caydon and Declan. Marilyn will also be missed by extended relatives and friends and will be forever remembered for her 26 years of service to Durham Region in many capacities, as well as for her artistic talents and giving of herself, especially if the cause moved her. She enjoyed travel, music, art, theatre and spending time with friends. Friends may call at THORNTON CEMETERY & FUNERAL CENTRE, 1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, (South of Taunton Road and off of Dryden Blvd, 905-579-6787) on Friday October 7, 2022 from 11 am until time of Memorial Service in the Chapel at 12 noon. The family wish to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the caring and compassionate staff of Hillsdale Terraces for professionalism shown to Marilyn and her family. Donations will be gratefully accepted for Community Living Oshawa/Clarington or to the Alzheimer Society of Durham Region or to the Charity of your Choice.

Aunt Marilyn was our mother's "sister of the heart." In her company, you felt you were the most important person to her. She was kind, gracious, accepting and always enjoyed the company of family. She will be missed. xox
