September 11, 1938 - June 18, 2020

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Marija Vučeta, our loving and devoted mother and friend to all whose lives she touched, on June 18, 2020.

She was the beloved wife of the late Marko Vučeta, cherished mother of Tvrtko (Mariana) and Gordana, and proud Baka of Matteo & Victoria.

Marija loved to cook for those she loved, was a champion for those less fortunate, and deeply passionate about her garden. Most of all she loved her family and instilled in her children and grandchildren strong values that have served them well. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

Please join us for a funeral service celebrating her life at 9am on Monday June 29th at Our Lady Queen of Croatia Church, 7 Croatia St, Toronto.

Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation are welcome.

I never got to meet Mrs.Vuceta but I've heard much over the 30+ years ive know her daughter, Gordana. She must have been amazing to have brought up a daughter who is so kind, no-nonsense, ethical and strong. Mrs. Vuceta, go well, with happiness, into the warm embrace of those who proceed you. Gordy, we will raise a glass to your mom when we next meet. I'm sorry for you pain. Thank you for being in my life, Gordy.

We were devastated to hear of Marija passing and we are sending you our deepest condolences. Losing a parent is never easy, just know she is not alone but with your dad again. May she Rest In Peace.
