Marianne and her brother Malcolm, born in Winnipeg, moved to Toronto with their parents when they were young children, when their parents joined Conklin Shows at the CNE. Marianne and her brother spent many summers at the carnival at the Canadian National Exhibition.

Marianne married and raised her family in Ajax.

In later years she enjoyed her retirement on Pigeon Lake, active with Bob in the Royal Canadian Legion with many wonderful days throwing horseshoes, watching the tournaments, playing cards, participating in the parades and meeting up with friends.

A private service will be held at a later date.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Abbeylawn Manor and Bay Ridges Long Term Care, for their care and compassion.

I so enjoyed making music with Marianne at Bay Ridges. I would always give her a small tambourine and a drum stick and she would play along to the music. She seemed to know and enjoy lots of different songs and would even sing a long to the odd song. She will be missed.

Many years of memories I have of Marianne, thankful I spent as much time at their home as I did. Not a summer will go by without me reminiscing about afternoons in the pool, collecting veggies from the garden and helping her with lunch and movies that we would watch after Grandpa fell asleep!
I will miss that large belly laugh that would come from such a tiny woman! Thanks for all the memories Marianne :)
Say hi to the old boy and Grandma Mac for us.
Much love,
Emily, Jay, Hannah, Sammy and Charlotte 💛💐
