In loving memory of Maria Valtas

Loving wife of her husband Vasilios. Cherished mother of Paul (Mary Ann) and Sophia. Proud Yia Yia (grandmother) of Olivia (David) and Michelle (Adam), and great grandmother of Aria.

Maria was born in Kalamata, Greece. She made her dream a reality in 1958 when she moved to Toronto Canada, to forge a better life. A talented seamstress and shop owner/entrepreneur, Maria worked hard to provide a better life for her own children and future generations. Maria put her love into her plants and garden, and Greek traditional cooking which she generously shared with her family.

Maria will be dearly missed by all her family and friends in Canada, and abroad. May God grant her eternal peace.

She will be remembered with family and friends at the funeral service, at the Greek Orthodox Church of Prophet Elias (1785 Matheson Blvd, Mississauga, ON, L4W 1V2) at 11 a.m. on Thursday February 24th. A burial service will follow.
