In memory of

Maria Tzogas

August 3, 1938 -  May 31, 2021

It is with great sadness that the family of Maria Tzogas announce her passing on Monday, May 31, 2021, just shy of her 83rd birthday. Born in Kelli, Florina, Greece on August 3, 1938, Maria followed the love of her life Dimitrios (Jim) Tzogas to Canada in 1963 to begin a new life. They raised two sons, John and Angelo and a daughter Silvia. They were together for 66 years, until she was preceded in death by Jim.

She was a devoted mother and wife who courageously fought and persevered while always putting family first. She will be lovingly remembered by her 3 children, John, Angelo and Silvia and her son-in-law Jean Carlo. She was a dotting grandmother (baba) to her grandson Yannis. Maria is survived by her brother Peter; predeceased by siblings Tom and John. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and will forever be in our hearts.

Due to the current Covid-19 gathering restrictions, the funeral service will be for immediate family invitation only. Thank you for understanding. The visitation, service and burial will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021 from 12pm to 2pm.

On behalf of the family, your love and support during these difficult times are greatly appreciated. Please take a moment to leave a message on the virtual guest book. If you would like to send flowers, you can have them sent directly to Elgin Mills.

A celebration of Maria's life will take place at a later date when gathering in larger groups is allowed.

With love, thank you.

Condolences to you all, my thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of loss. Thinking back to those Name’s Days when we would all get together and how your mom was such a force of nature! Take solace in the thought that she is at peace and out of pain, dancing with your dad.
