MARIA SOURGOUTSIDIS
Our Earth Angel
1926-2022

Surrounded by the love of her family, Maria passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 95. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Chrissa and grandson Niko, who cared for her with love and dignity in her home as well as her children Costas, Antonia (Politis). She was a kind and loving mother-in-law to Karen (Sourgoutsidis) and George (Politis). She was adored by her grandchildren Niko, Alex, Marianna (Jim), Liana Marie (Alex), Matthew Theodore, Anette (Ron), Maria and Demetre James. She was blessed with three great-grandsons, Jagger Abram, Remi Demetre and Henry Peter. Maria was one of 6 siblings and was born in Kastanies, Evros, Greece. She was a devoted mother and wife and loved to cook and care for her family. She immigrated to Canada in 1970 to provide a better life and opportunities for her children. Maria will be dearly missed by all.
