It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved, Maria Sanguinetti. Born May 25, 1926 in Calabria, Italy, to Gabriele & Guiseppina Vigna, Maria embarked on the immigrant journey to Toronto, Canada and made a home with her late husband, Luigi. They celebrated 46 anniversaries, and raised 4 children. Maria took enormous pride in her children, grand children and great grandchildren and showed great love to her siblings and nieces and nephews.
She passed away peacefully August 25, 2022 at the age of 96 with her family by her side.
She leaves behind her children, Geno (Nadia), Tony (Lisa), Franca, and Carmelina (Brian), as well as her grandchildren Nicholas (Leah Anna), Julianna (Mitchell), Rachel (Greg), Richard, David (Laura), Daniel, Samuel (Marina), and Maxwell, and great grandchildren Nathaniel, Lily Ana, Violet, Ivy, Leo and Timothy.
Forever in our hearts, Maria will be missed by all who loved her. She was a gentle, kind soul. May she Rest in Peace. Donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada on the families behalf.
