Maria (Mary) Helen Oleszko, beloved daughter of Julie and Alex Oleszko, passed away peacefully at Humber River Hospital, Toronto, on April 30, 2024. She is survived by her mother and her brother Paul and pre-deceased by her father and common law partner, Joe.

For the past 25 years or so, Mary suffered constant pain and restricted mobility from a work-related injury at DeHavilland Aircraft, and from COPD. She loved her cottage, antiques, and camping with her friends. She spent the last five months in the hospital before her death from lung cancer at 61. She will be missed by all. Her family would like to thank the staff at Humber River, especially 13W, for the care she received.

A service to celebrate Mary’s life will be held on Saturday, May 25 from 9:00 to 11:00 am at York Cemetery and Funeral Centre, 160 Beecroft Rd., Toronto. After the service, a luncheon will be held at the Mandarin Restaurant, 1027 Finch Ave. West, Toronto, just west of Dufferin St., at 12:00 for those who can participate.
