In memory of

Maria Obrochta

January 2, 1953 -  July 18, 2019

Maria Obrochta, 66 years young, passed away on July 18, 2019 surrounded by family. Maria was a loving sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend to many. Maria will be remembered for her great sense of humor, her beautiful smile and her loving personality.
Maria was a devoted Catholic who would put others before herself. You could not call Maria at 8:00 p.m because she would be listening to Radio Maria. She loved to sit in the sun on her balcony and tend to her flowers. Maria's favorite movie was The Sound of Music and when an episode of Mr. Bean was on she would always call to let you know. Maria was a wonderful woman, that was loved, is missed, and will always be cherished.

I'm Still Here

I may be gone but please don't cry
Death is not the last goodbye
Death released me of my pain
There will come a day we meet again
Don't be blue and don't be sad
Think back to the fun we had
I am always here
I hear you speak
In time of trouble it's me you seek
You don't see me but I see you
I will do my best to pull you through
Speak to me and I will hear
Never far I am always near
Be brave my loved ones don't cry
See you again it's not goodbye

Maria has been our dear neighbour for many, many years, and I am heartbroken at the news that she is no longer with us. We shared so many hallway chats about simple things, like the weather, and more serious things, like family and faith. She was warm, caring, and a beautiful woman, inside and out. I will miss our chats and exchanging waves from our balconies. If there is an 80 Coe Hill Drive in heaven, Maria is on her balcony, my Dad is on his balcony, and they are basking in the warmth of the sun and our eternal love for them. My sincere condolences to Maria's family and friends.

It was a great shock to learn of Maria's untimely passing. It still hasn't entirely sunk in. I still expect to see her cheery face and her waving to me from her balcony to mine. I will miss her. A good neighbour, a good friend whose passing was far too soon. My condolences to her family and friends, she will be missed.
