It is with great sadness that the family announces the Death of Maria June Hiemstra on Tuesday April 25, 2023, at the age of 78
Predeceased by her mother Francis Anne Lazenby (nee Morgan), her father Harold Clifford Lazenby and her husband James Hiemstra.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter Anne (Larry) grandchildren Tyler (Shannon), Amanda (Andre) & Travis (Josee) along with her great grandchildren.
June was strong, independent who lived her life to the fullest. She will be remembered for going out every day to enjoy the beautiful activities around Toronto.
Many still remember her from her years of service at Loblaws.
Special thanks to the Staff at the Michael Garrison Hospital who took such good care of June during her last few months. Thank you to all the staff and residents of Sunrise Towers who were a big part of her everyday routine and who greeted her with many smiles and chats.
In Lieu of flowers donations to The Salvation Army or a charity of choice would be appreciated.
