In memory of

Maria Jose Borges Moniz Carneiro

December 19, 1929 -  November 29, 2020

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Maria Jose Borges Carneiro. She passed away peacefully at the Bethell Hospice in Inglewood with family at her side.

After a long and strong fight with cancer, God heard her prayers and released her of her pain. She is now at peace and reunited with her beloved family and husband.

Maria Jose was a devoted wife to the late Antonio Da Costa. Beloved mother to Joao Manuel (Maria). Loving sister to Margarida, and the late Sylvester, Fernando, Maria da Luz, Joao and Jamie. Daughter to the late Joao Borges and Evangelina Moniz Borges.

She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her extended family and friends.

Maria Jose was a courageous and loving woman who had a passion for flowers and gardening. She was even recognized by the City of Brampton for her beautiful front yard. She always took great care with her appearance and liked to look her best.

Her memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew her.

In place of flowers the family requests that Memorial donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to Our Lady of Fatima Church at 101 Malta Avenue, Brampton, ON L6Y 4C8 (905) 454-3010.
