In memory of

Maria Fatima Frias

November 12, 1948 -  July 13, 2020

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of our beloved Mother and dear friend, Maria Fatima Frias. Maria lost her short battle with cancer on Monday July 13 2020 at Credit Valley Hospital. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten by her children Debbie, Steven and Jason, her son in law Steven Hale and daughter in law Leslie Frias, and her much loved Grandchildren Ethan, Daniella and Emily. She worked as a crossing guard for 30 years, a position she genuinely treasured. Maria is now reunited with her late husband Jose Frias and resuming their evening walks with their wonderful dog Casey. The world is a sadder place without her. Her family and those who were blessed to know her will truly feel her loss.

Mom I am going to miss you so much. My 9a.m.'s will never be the same again. I will forever cherish our time together and you will forever be missed. Ethan and Daniella are truly heartbroken, but your memory will forever be alive. It has been both a privilege and honor to have you in my life. Rest in peace querida mãe.

My deepest condolences to you all.....
May your tears be replaced with the memories of laughter & joy you all shared.
Funny, genuine, honest & down to earth are the words that come to mind to describe her. The type of person I'd cross the street for just to say hello to and sincerely, one of my favorites from my parent's circle of friends. She will be sorely missed by so many.
