Passed away peacefully at the age of 72, after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. Beloved sister to Fatima Da Silva, Julieta Sousa (Alfredo), and Lucia Valerio (Jose Fernando). Adored aunt to John Massa, Dario Massa, Sandra Areias, Delia Massa, Gina Dionne, Keven Almeida, Raquel Valerio, Sofia Valerio, Susana Sousa, Carlos Filipe Sousa, and Ricardo Sousa. Predeceased by her parents Carlos Jesus Da Silva and Maria Da Silva Barbosa, and sisters Jorgina Massa and Judite Almeida. Maria will be dearly missed by her many family members and friends.
Maria enjoyed her gardens, needle point, listening to music and sewing.
A Visitation will be held on Sunday September 26, 2021 from 4-8pm at Pine Hills Funeral Centre, 625 Birchmount Road, TO. ON.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday September 27, 2021 at 1pm by invitation only due to capacity restrictions. Interment to Follow within Pine Hills Cemetery.
