In memory of

Maria Corazon Salao

July 5, 1940 -  January 7, 2023

Maria Corazon Salao or as we called her Azon, was the 4th of 7 children of Anacleto and Maxima (Franco) Salao. She was born and grew up in Manila, Philippines.

At her early adulthood, she already showed her skills in management. She became the supervisor of a garment manufacturing company in the Philippines, managing various departments for many years.

Azon was blessed to be able to come to Vancouver in 1987. She moved to Toronto in 1988. She worked in an insurance company as part of their clerical team.

Azon was not only a very hardworking person but caring and generous one, especially to her parents, brothers and sisters when they were still alive.

Not without lack of admirers, she remained single throughout her life. She went on living, sacrificing and restraining herself on what she wanted and needed just to help others.

Azon was a very devoted Catholic. With her beautiful voice, she was a choir member of her church for over fifteen years.

We love you, Maria Corazon Salao. Rest In Peace.
