In memory of

Maria Blanche D'Souza

July 22, 1927 -  June 20, 2020

Maria Blanche D'Souza (born July 22nd 1927 in Nakuru, Kenya) called to eternal life on June 20th 2020 after a long illness bravely borne.
"I have gone to be reunited with my parents, Felix and Virgelia Costa-Correa and my husband, George and departed family and friends. Please do not be sad. I am free from pain and suffering that I could not express. I am at peace. Thank you all for your love and kindness; and the joy and laughter we shared; moments cherished that will live in our hearts forever. Until we meet again, my wish for you is to be happy and live a peaceful life "kwaheri ya kuonana."
Blanche will be sadly missed by her children Carl (Rita), Claris (Walter); grandchildren, Leila and Desiree (Matthew); families of her brothers - the late Winston (late Diana) Costa-Correa, the late Freddy (Mary) Costa-Correa and sisters Lumu (John) Pacheco, Dessie (late Ramos) Mascarenhas; relatives and friends. Please remember Blanche in your prayers.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Blanche's memory can be found on the "donations" tab.

We will miss Blanche terribly. Remember the lovely scones, cakes, biscuits and food that she used to prepare for us when we dropped by Walter and Claris' home for a visit.
Also remember sitting and listening to her reminiscing about life in Kenya in the early days as well as how much fun she had participating in the sports she loved so much.
Rest in peace darling Ma D'Souza. You had a beautiful, forgiving heart and love for everyone around you.

Eternal Rest grant unto her, O Lord and let perpetual Light shine upon her. May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen.

St Therese of Liseux, pray for her.
St Vincent de Paul, pray for her.
May the Angels come to meet her, and there where Lazarus is poor no longer, may she enjoy eternal rest, for the Lord is merciful. Amen.

I remember Blanche has a warm, friendly lady who was smart, independent and always a joy to be with.

Our sincere condolences are with you at this sad time - the end of an era for a lovely lady.
