It is with profound sadness that the family of Maria Alice Santos announce her passing on October 11, 2022 at the age of 74 years old. She passed peacefully and surrounded by her family.

She will be missed by her husband and best friend of 54 years, Jesuino, daughter, Leslie (Sean), son, Ryan (Chelsea), granddaughter, Braelyn, granddogs, Mack (predeceased) and Charlie and her many friends and family. She cherished all her friendships close and far, if you had the chance of meeting Alice you were embraced with her smile and laughter. Her fierce love for her family was like no other. A mom, wife, grandmother (vovó), daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, aunt, great-aunt, sister-in-law and best friend is who she was and she loved deeply always.

Alice was predeceased by her parents, Francisco and Eliza, sister, Louisa and brothers Julio and Luis. Survived by her sister-in-law, Teresa.

She was born in Portugal and grew up in a small town of Foz do Arelho, where she visited often and loved to spend her days with her family and friends at the café and walks along the beach. She came to Canada and started her life as a seamstress, worked at Ford, later became a homemaker and cared for many children who she always held dear to her.

Her love and kindness will always be cherished by many.
