It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marguerite Sherran Nelson, who peacefully passed away surrounded by family on September 27th, 2023, at the age of 79. She was born on October 24th, 1943, and was the beloved wife of the late Larry Nelson and the mother of the late Cheryl Nelson.
Marguerite’s life was one filled with love, resilience, and unwavering strength. She was a devoted mother to her surviving son, Lawrence (Susan), and loving grandmother to Sandra (Joel) and Nicole. She also had the joy of being a great-grandmother to Leyah and Cali. Marguerite’s family was her greatest source of happiness, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Throughout her life, Marguerite faced numerous health struggles with courage and determination. She battled adversity with a spirit that inspired those around her. Her journey was marked by challenges, but her enduring love for her family remained a constant source of strength and inspiration.
Marguerite’s passing is bittersweet for us, as we mourn the loss of a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. However, we take solace in knowing that she has now reunited with her husband, Larry, and daughter, Cheryl, in a world free from blindness, wheelchairs and discomfort. Marguerite is now free, and she can find peace and serenity in the company of her loved ones once more.
A celebration of Marguerite’s life will be held at The Simple Alternative Funeral Home in Mississauga, located at 1535 South Gateway Rd. The details and directions for the services are as follows:
Visitation:
Thursday, October 5th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Friday, October 6th from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM
Funeral:
Friday October 6th at 11am, followed by interment.
