Margita Kanbergs

October 21, 1936 - June 21, 2022

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Margita Kanbergs on June 21, 2022 at the age of 85. Predeceased by her husband Viktor, and siblings Ingrid Tannis and John Raminsh (DebbieLynn). Cherished mother of Davis (Natalie) and John (Christine). She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Ilmar, Katrina and Alexia as well as sister Vija Murata (Taketo) and brother Imants Raminsh (Becky). Margita loved her family dearly and went out of her way to show that love not only to family, but neighbours and friends. She was always full of energy and on the go, which was evident working as a Public Health Nurse for the City of North York for nearly 40 years.

Visitation to be held at York Cemetery and Funeral Centre 1 PM on Monday June 27th. Funeral to follow at 2 PM.

Margita loved flowers but as an alternate donations can be made to the Latvian Canadian Cultural Centre or to the Sunnybrook Foundation.
