It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Margaret Wyllie ( Nee Quinn) aged 94 on November 21, 2019 at Bethany Lodge Long term Care Facility, 23 Second Street, Markham, Ontario.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband Alexander Johnston Wyllie, her daughter Margaret Macdonald, son in law James ( Jimmy) Malcolm Burgess and grandson Scott Alexander Burgess.
Margaret was born in Glasgow, Scotland. She was 1 of 10 children born of Annie Allison and John Quinn. She worked from the age of 14 as a tailoress with many of her sisters for a bespoke tailor for over 20 years. Margaret and Alex emigrated to Canada in 1981 to join their daughters Anne Marie and Margaret. Margaret is survived and will be greatly missed by her daughter Anne Marie Burgess, son Alan Wyllie and his wife Frances, youngest son James (Jim) and his wife Marguerita. A beloved Nana, Margaret is survived by 10 grandchildren, Garry Burgess, Malcolm and Alex Macdonald, Alan, Christopher, Marianne, David, James, Robert and Mariaclaire Wyllie and their spouses. nana will be missed by her 15 great grandchildren. Margaret will also be sorely missed by her sisters and "best friends" Catherine Kerr and Rose Ross and her nieces and nephews here in Canada and in Scotland.
The family would like to extend their gratitude and thanks to the staff of Bethany Lodge for the wonderful loving care they provided to Margaret during her many years there.
A celebration of life will be held at THE SIMPLE ALTERNATIVE FUNERAL CENTRE 275 Lesmill Road, Toronto on Thursday November 28, 2019 at 1pm followed by refreshments until 4pm. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation in her memory to the Bethany Lodge Foundation at http://bethanylodge.org/donate/ or to the charity of your choice.

I so sad to hear of Aunt Margaret's passing. When I think of her - it's the laugh I remember best. My thoughts are with you this week.
