Margaret Tsimicalis

August 29, 1932 -  September 18, 2022

Margaret Tsimicalis (nee Vlitas) passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, September 18th, 2022, in the loving embrace of her beloved husband Stavros of 65 years. She had just turned 90. She will be forever missed by her children Stan (Effi) and Dimitra (Spiros), and her legacy will live on through them. She was a devoted yiayia to Stephen, Ari (Diana), Bill, and Stephanie who adored her. She leaves behind her brothers Panos (Maria), Peter (Maria), her sister Zafeiro and her sister-in-law Dina. She is pre-deceased by her brothers George and John. Margaret came to Canada in 1957 and married her childhood friend Stavros and they created a wonderful life together. Margaret had a zest for life and welcomed family and friends to her home and around her table; her door was always open. Family was everything to her and she showed her love to all that knew her with her big heart and beautiful smile. Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects on Saturday, September 24th at Saint Nicolas Greek Orthodox Church 3840 Finch Avenue East Scarborough at 9:45 am viewing directly followed by mass at 10:30 am.

We lost a true legend. I have always been told that I take after my aunt in many ways - we can both whip up a meal in no time and are always taking care of those we love. May we all live as long and as fulfilled as you ❤️

Theia, I promise to live the rest of my life as you did - always happy and never complaining. Thank you for always being by my side, truly my second mother ❤️

Sending our Condolences to the family. I have fond memories of her when I would go for lunch with Dimitra to their restaurant. She was always welcoming and always smiling. RIP
