In memory of

Margaret R. Sherk

March 29, 1936 -  March 6, 2018

With great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Margaret Sherk on March 6, 2018 in Toronto at the age of 81 after a brave battle with cancer. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed. Margaret was predeceased by her loving husbands James McArthur (1978) and Laverne (Bill) Sherk (2000); and her brother Victor W Cairns in January 2018. Proud mother to Dugald McArthur of Toronto and Fiona Weber (Robert Weber) of Burlington. Treasured Gamma to James Weber. Best friend to Jean Marshall of Port Colborne.

Margaret was an active member, volunteer and past president at Welland Curling Club and Port Colborne Gyrettes. She enjoyed her travels, walking her dogs and most of all spending quality time with family and friends.

Special thanks for the inspired care, attention and kindness of Dr. Vanessa Palter and magical team on 16 CCN at St Michael’s Hospital.

In accordance with her wishes, she was cremated and a private service to intern her ashes will take place in the spring.

In lieu of flowers donations to St. Michael’s Foundation in honor of Margaret Sherk would be appreciated by the family. For online condolences please visit www.etouch.ca.

Dear Dugald and Fiona,
It is with great sadness that I have learned of your mother's passing. Your mom was a nice lady with a great heart. I always enjoyed her giggle when our parents got together. Heaven just got a little brighter.

It is my hope that you will reflect on happier times when your mom was healthy and well, and that your spirits will be buoyed in those memories. Please know that others do understand your sorrow during this difficult time.

Your mom had one of the brightest souls in our world; she will continue to shine on in all of our hearts as we keep the faith. Be good to one another and live life well.

I wish you peace.
Respectfully,
Richard Larson
