MARGARET PATERSON HENDERSON


Cherished wife of devoted and loving husband James G.C. Henderson, deeply loved by sons David and John, and cherished grandmother to only grandson Jonathan, Margaret departed this life Nov. 12, 2016 peacefully at Thompson House LTC, Toronto in her 96th year.

Predeceased by her late dear sister Grace (William) Hillis (Toronto), and father George McKay (b.Cullen, Scotland) and mother Sarah Paterson (b.McDuff, Scotland), and missed by nephews Dr. Rob (Maureen) Hillis, Dr. George (Sally) Hillis and Bill (Terri) Hillis.

Marg met Jim through music recitals at Paterson Presbyterian Church and concerts at the Eaton Auditorium. Christian Faith, family and music kept them devotedly married 71 years. A caring homemaker, Margaret’s last few years were marked with increasing incapacity (Alzheimer’s), yet she remained warmly appreciative to all who cared for her, especially holding James’ hand to the end. She is at peace with her Lord. The family extends it's warm thanks to Dr. Goldstein and entire staff at Thompson House for their caring.

Family and friends are welcome to attend at Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre, 375 Mount Pleasant Road, Toronto, Friday Nov 18th, Visitation (11-2), Celebration of Life (2-3), Reception (3-4:30). Internment (family only) to follow on Nov. 19th, at Glen Oaks Cemetery, (3164 - Ninth Line, Oakville. Family Flowers only.
