In memory of

Margaret Mary Williams

January 16, 1928 -  July 13, 2022

On the morning of July 13, 2022, in her 94th year, Margaret Williams passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family.

She courageously sailed across the Atlantic from Edinburgh Scotland in 1952 to her new home in Toronto.

As a young girl Margaret rode her bicycle throughout the rolling hills of Scotland with her friend Dorothy. Upon arriving in Canada she joined the CYH where she met some life long friends and her husband to be, David. Margaret spent many happy years volunteering at the Etobicoke General Hospital and Roy Thompson Hall.

She is pre-deceased by her son Keith (Marny), her brother Tom and her sisters Cathy and Tessa. Cherished by her husband of 67 years, David Williams. Beloved by her son Norman (Nancy). An adored Nana by two grandchildren Taylor and Scott. She will be missed by all the nieces and nephews in Canada, Scotland and England.

A special thanks to the compassionate nurses, doctors and PSW's of the Palliative Group, Home and Community Care Support Services of Mississauga and Dorothy Ley Hospice over this long journey.

The family welcomes you to join them on Tuesday July 19, 2022 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm for visitation and a service at 2:00pm. All are invited to attend a reception immediately thereafter to share memories with family and friends. In lieu of floral tributes, please consider making a donation to Hummingbird Centre for Hope or a charity of your choice in Margaret's memory. The Williams family greatly appreciates your ongoing support during this difficult time.

To my wonderful Canadian relatives. Meg was a strong and determined lady and I take inspiration from her energy and how she battled on despite all adversity. She was so loved by all and we are comforted that she died surrounded by the warmth of her wonderful family. May you find comfort in each other in this sad time and be blessed by your many shared memories together. I am so glad we visited Canada and had the chance to meet her again. Xx

To Dave , Norm and Nancy: I thoughts are with you. Meg was a very special lady that was a good friend and substitute Mom, supporting me and then my wife Kim and our 4 boys, Brett, Calvin, Quinn and Ethan for over half a century.
We will never forget, at the stroke of 5 pm, vodka and orange juice with no ice.
Sincerely
The Bromley Family.
