Passed away peacefully at Hillsdale Terraces on Sunday, May 6, 2018 in her 86th year. Beloved wife of Doug. Loving mother of Darlene, Sherri and the late Donald. Cherished grandmother of Melissa (Mike), Matt (Marlene), Derek (Miranda) and the late Dallas. Dear great grandmother of Mack, Brady, Dylan, Gavin and Jacob. Much loved sister of William Atkinson. Predeceased by brothers John, Leo and Lorne. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her many other family members and friends. At Marie’s request a private cremation has occurred. A celebration of life will be held at Thornton Funeral Centre (1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, 905-579-6787) on Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
