In memory of

Margaret Louise Riddell

May 13, 1939 -  October 29, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret (Marg) Louise Riddell in her 85th year on October 29th, 2023. Marg married Jack Riddell in 1958 and they brought up their family in the Oakridge community of Scarborough. She was predeceased by her son Jack. They have two grandchildren, Sean and Julia, from their son Doug and his wife Margaret.

Marg graduated from Scarborough Collegiate (R.H. King). She worked at Eaton’s as a store clerk and at Confederation Life as a comptometer operator (accounting machine). She left Confederation life after getting pregnant with her first son. After her children grew older she worked part time as a care giver for seniors through VHA and maid at Andrews motel. Her main role was taking care of her family and the household.

Marg was a quiet and thoughtful lady, a very kind and loving soul who always had a positive thing to say about others. When she did have something to say it was pertinent and often quite humorous. She had a challenging life with many difficulties to overcome. She came through these with strength, determination, compassion and love. While her strength finally faded, despite her determination, she remained compassionate and loving to the end.
There will be 2 visitations on Friday November 10th (2pm to 4pm) and (6pm to 8pm)

I was saddened to hear of Margaret's passing. I think back to our Mason family reunion lunch at the Bo Peep in Markham and I am reminded of Margaret's sweet smile and the sparkle in her eyes. She certainly was a very special lady. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad time.
