Margaret Louise Barrett

March 28, 1929 -  April 3, 2021

Margaret Barrett (nee Phelan)
Passed away peacefully on April 3, 2021,having just celebrated her 92nd birthday. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Marylou (Jerry) Patava, Patty (Robert) Bingham, Jim (Marilyn) Barrett, Fred (Karen) Barrett and Marnie (Ian) MacLeod. She was especially adored by her grandchildren James and Lauren (Kane) Patava; Cameron (Emily) Bingham; Emily and Kaleigh Bingham; Jessica and Scott Barrett, Daniel and Kristen Barrett; and Sean and Sarah MacLeod. Predeceased by her husband, Jim Barrett and her siblings Patricia (Sean) Nooney; Tom (Mary) Phelan; and Jack (Barbara) Phelan. Margaret was born in London, Ontario and made Etobicoke her lifelong home. A traveller at heart, a nurse by profession and a passionate and fierce advocate for all those she loved. A special and more recent joy was the birth of her great-grandson, Jackson Bingham. Part of a large and loving family, she was cherished “Aunt Marg” to many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Margaret was happiest when surrounded by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Details of a celebration of life will be shared at a future date.
