In memory of

Margaret Kocsis

June 12, 1932 -  December 17, 2021

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret on December 17th at the age of 89. Margaret Kocsis (nee Buki) is survived by her loving husband, Alex, her cherished children, Susanna and Alex Jr. She is now reunited with her beloved parents, Maria and Ferenc, and sister Erzsi. Margaret will be greatly missed by many family and friends in Canada and Hungary. She will be forever remembered for her sense of humour, kindness, thoughtfulness, generosity and compassion.

The family gratefully acknowledges the wonderful and loving care given to Margaret by her caregivers Alona, Gemma, Nasim, Madelyne, Nilou, Melinda, April, and most especially, Mary Jane.

The family would like to thank Dr. Geoffroy and the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at Mackenzie Hospital for their compassionate care during her short time there.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to UNICEF, National Catholic Broadcasting Council or LOFT Community Services (Behavioural Support Services).

“Your life was a blessing
Your memory a treasure …
You are loved beyond words
and missed beyond measure …”

Please accept our heartfelt condolences for the passing of dear Margitneni. Growing up, we spent many happy times together - Christmas Eves, Cottage time, picnics at the beach and an epic trip to Hungary together. Margitneni possessed a great sense of humour, kindness and an elegant down to earth style.

With love, Terry and family
