In memory of

Margaret Kirkaldy

July 30, 1931 -  April 4, 2022

On April 4, 2022, Margaret Kirkaldy passed away peacefully in her home in Scarborough. She was in her 91st year and lived all of her many years sharing her positive outlook, kind nature and contagious smile with anyone she met. Retired from IBM, Marg enjoyed her 32 years of retirement spending time with friends and family and tending to her beloved garden. Born in Dundee, Scotland on July 30, 1931, she recently connected with a long lost sister for the very first time and that brought her immense joy.

Marg leaves a lasting imprint on the lives of those who were fortunate enough to have known her and she will be missed deeply. By none more so than her soul sisters, Doris and Anita, and beloved nephew Joshua, with whom she spent countless hours; And nieces and nephews MacKenzie, Stacey, Keenan and Cassandra – each of whom were the light of her life. For much of her life, Marg was referred to as “Aunt Marg” by many others – from the boys on Josh’s baseball and hockey teams, to all of Sean’s friends and even the neighbors on the street. Marg’s passing leaves a void impossible to fill, but the memory of her warmth, compassion and kindness remains and gives us all something to aspire to.

Margaret was a lifelong lover of animals and we would ask to direct donations to Toronto Humane Society if you would be so kind to do so in lieu of flowers.

Marg had a special place in so many people's lives. She will be missed by so many, and she will miss everyone as well. She was everyone's Aunt Marg.

What a privilege it has been all these years to have called Marg our friend. She will be dearly missed. Her warm smile and wonderful personality always brought a smile to your face. Backyard bbq’s will be very different without Marg taking her place at the table laughing at all of our crazy stories that she had heard hundreds of times over.
We will miss Marg but will hang onto some great memories of fun times we had with her as part of our gang of friends.
Rest In Peace
