Wednesday December 15th, 2021, at home at the age of 91, mom passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by Love.

She will be greatly missed by her sons David (Bev), Brian – (deceased 1970), Kent (Lynn), Burke (Rechelle), Scott (Paul) and Kelly. Grand Mother of Violet (Chris), Paul (Stephanie), Nicholas & Karrington. Great Grand Mother of Zachary, Maddison, Theo and Gabriella and great Grandchild to be, Brother Bill (Betty deceased early 2021), Niece Linda (Mike), Nephews Scott & Warren, Great Nephew Jay.

She was a very proud and devoted Wife, Mother, Grand Mother, Great Grand Mother and True friend. She was Born in Toronto on October 4th, 1930, to Daniel Warren & Margaret Gertrude Hoegg. Married to Harold Francis Gerhardt (deceased December 30th, 1994) on July 20th, 1951, and together they raised 5 boys Harold Warren David, James Brian, Douglas Kent, Andrew Burke & Scott Francis.

She was devoted to her family & friends, she was a strong, honest, giving, a loving person, who gave the Greatest Hugs Ever. She loved to travel to such places as Russia, Croatia, Hawaii, Panama and many more. She never forgot a birthday or anniversary, she loved family get togethers, spending time at the cottage, boating, playing Bridge & other games. She was a strong believer is fairness, helping others, giving to charity and dedicating her time to the Active Adult Center of Mississauga.

She will be remembered with Family & friends at The Simple Alternative Funeral Center at 1535 South Gateway Rd, Mississauga, viewing Sunday December 19th from 3:30pm to 7:00pm, Funeral Monday December 20th 9:00am – 11:00am.

Betty you fought a battle that most would not have been able to fight. It is time for you to rest and be reunited with Harold. You have left an amazing legacy in your sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We will miss you smile and positive attitude to life. Dinner at Red Lobster will not be the same.
