In memory of

Margaret Elizabeth Coulter (nee Chapman)

May 31, 1935 -  October 8, 2023

Our dear mother, Margaret Elizabeth Coulter, peacefully joined her Lord and Saviour at her home in Oshawa, Ontario, Sunday, October 8, 2023, in her 89th year. She will be cherished and held in loving memory by her sons, Kevin, Geoffrey (Shari), and daughters Valerie (Alan) and Andrea (Paul). She was a proud grandmother to Michael, Kaitlyn, Emily, and Amanda. Our mother adored her family and looked forward to every occasion we spent together.

Born and raised in East Toronto, Mom attended Leslie St. School and Riverdale Collegiate before graduating from Toronto General Hospital School of Nursing in 1957 and completing her Bachelor of Nursing degree at the University of Western Ontario in 1960. She married our Dad, Philip Edward Coulter, September 10, 1960. Mom was an accomplished pianist, having achieved her grade 10 level at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. She was fiercely determined with a strong Christian faith. She was young at heart, incredibly well-read and equally well-spoken with a wealth of knowledge and a keen interest in politics, history, grammar, and literature. She will also be remembered and loved by her good friends and church community of St. James Presbyterian, Oshawa.
