Higgins, Margaret Duffy

In the early morning of Sunday June 25th, 2023, Margaret peacefully took her journey back home surrounded by her children, at Oak Ridges Hospice. Margaret was connected by heart and soul to her weans, Louise (Matt), Lisa (Tim), Daniel, and Meagan, as well as bonus daughters Amanda and Kerry. Margaret was Number One Nana to Diana, Nicholas, Gabrielle, Emma, Zachary, Morgan, Shaylah, Keira, Noah, and Allison. Margaret was born in Glasgow, Scotland, to Ellen and Joseph Graham on February 20th, 1952. After losing her father Joseph, at a young age, Margaret was raised and cared for by her loving mother and second husband, Danny McArdle. Margaret was a sister to Joseph, Robert, Mary, Theresa, Anthony, and Ellen. She will be forever treasured and missed deeply by her loving family. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of Oak Ridges Hospice for the comfort, care, empathy and professionalism shown to Margaret and her family. A graveside service will be held at THORNTON CEMETERY, FUNERAL CENTRE, 1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, (South of Taunton Road and off of Dryden Blvd, 905-579-6787) on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations will be gratefully accepted for Oak Ridges Hospice.
