In memory of

Margaret Anne Stinson (nee Warde)

September 28, 1929 -  January 31, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mom on Sunday, January 31st, 2021, peacefully at home surrounded by her devoted family. Predeceased by our father Gordon James Stinson, cherished son Tom, and sister Patricia Warde, "M.A."/"Poppy" was the proud mother of Marianne(David), Michael(Amanda), Paul(Sylvia), Geoff, and David. She was also "Gramma" to her six adoring grandchildren Jeffrey(Lauren), Matthew, Brett, Thomas, Lee(Nicole) and Jill.

Kind-hearted, thoughtful and giving by nature, mom's deep faith, family and lifelong friendships were the foundations of her remarkable life. An avid Bridge and Scrabble player, she was revered for her incredible baking talents. An adventurous global traveler, mom's greatest pleasure was spending time at home with her family. Compassionate, unconditionally loving and generous of spirit, we will dearly miss our family's shining star.

Special thanks to mom's wonderful caregivers for their exceptional support.

A funeral mass will take place, when it is safe to gather, to celebrate the indomitable spirit of a truly great lady.

Condolences may be made at mountpleasantgroup.com. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to St. Michael’s Hospital.

"Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day....unseen, unheard, but always here, still loved, still missed and very dear."

I called her Margaret Anne and I loved her!
She was s very classy lady that also knew how to have fun and drink a Manhattan! Called me “that girl from the East Coast who couldn’t hold her liquor- just because I couldn’t finish that Manhattan! I use to bake for her when I came to visit her daughter, Marianne, (the best daughter in the world that any mother could have). And Margaret Anne always complained that the herbs were not quite right in that last loaf! So I would back more and then Marianne told me that she was doing it on purpose so that she could have more homemade bread in her freezer! Those were needed when friends dropped in for tea ☕️
Many stories come to mind when I think of Margaret Jean, laughing 😆 loving her family ❤️Kindness to other people 😍taking care of all that she came in contact with, and never losing that special part of her that made her a treasure to all , she was a class act 💐
I am blessed to know her and I will never forget her! I am also blessed to know her daughter Marianne, the best daughter that any Mother could ever find ! I will miss Margaret Jean on my next visit to Toronto but I already miss her. Love you Margaret Jean, please say hello as you fly past the East Coast 🙏 my deepest sympathy to my friend Marianne and her family, 🌹I love you 💕
